Membership as tailored as BATCH LDN’s products.
Batch’s community was already thriving, with more than 2,000 loyal members who engaged deeply with the brand. But behind the scenes, the experience didn’t match the standard they wanted to offer. Loyalty and referral plugins felt like generic add-ons, spreadsheets were holding the operation together, and nothing was connected.
This left the team without meaningful customer data, without a reward structure, and without a way to evolve or tier the membership.
For a brand built on intimacy and quality, this patchwork approach felt disorganised, unscalable, and out of sync with the experience their guests expected. Batch needed something beautiful, integrated, and powerful - a membership platform worthy of the community they’d built.

Solution
A personalised, unified membership solution.
We delivered a unified membership platform that brought structure, design quality and real capability to Batch’s community - rebuilding the entire programme with clear tiers, meaningful rewards, partner offers from complementary brands and a seamless Apple/Google Wallet pass for in-store redemption.
To support launch, we also sent physical membership invites: uniquely coded cards that linked each member to their account, simplified onboarding through scan-and-activate and clearly communicated each member’s available credit.
We connected Glu directly to their WiFi for automatic data capture and smoother in-venue recognition, and introduced a flexible credit mechanic that allowed Batch to load value into memberships and enable customers to redeem it with zero friction - creating a premium, cohesive experience online and in person.
All member information now flowed into one place, powering personalised emails and automated journeys that previously required manual effort. What had been a fragmented setup became a single, integrated membership experience that looked polished, worked smoothly and finally gave BATCH LDN the infrastructure to scale their community with confidence.

Putting automation to work.
Membership enrolment enriches Shopify profiles.
BATCH LDN wanted to capture additional zero-party data, including industry and date of birth, while strengthening their customer records. Glu’s enrolment process updates Shopify profiles automatically, appending fresh personalisation data, refreshing address details, and activating a unified “logged-in” state so returning members always receive a personalised experience from one consistent login.
10% lifetime spend issued as store credit.
To drive enrolment, every existing customer received 10% of their lifetime spend as credited value in their new membership account. This balance is displayed on both the physical invitation cards and the digital invites sent via Klaviyo, allowing BATCH LDN to highlight members credit and recent top-ups in every email with zero manual work.
Automated tier progression based on LTV.
Members move between tiers automatically based on lifetime value through a Glu workflow that triggers a full wallet update in Klaviyo. The BATCH LDN team can also override tiers manually or apply heuristic tags - such as “Founder” or “Friends & Family” - to tailor experiences for high-importance guests.
Physical and digital birthday gifting.
Using Glu’s gifting functionality, BATCH LDN runs automated birthday workflows: digital gifts are sent to Club Members, while VIP and Black Card members receive physical gifts fulfilled by Glu’s in-house service, complete with custom printed cards and branded inserts stored in our warehouse.
Tier-specific referral programmes.
Referral rewards scale with member value. Each tier receives its own referral programme - automatically delivered and tracked within the member’s wallet. Dynamic summaries are pushed into Klaviyo, giving members a clear view of earned rewards and incentivising further referrals.
